The IT-Referat of the City of Munich drives the digital transformation and IT strategy of the Munich city administration, delivering innovative digital services that meet the needs of citizens, businesses and partners. Together with our muenchen.digital initiative, we inform and support stakeholders in shaping a future-ready digital metropolis. We apply Python in AI and machine learning applications such as our internal chat interface MUCGPT, in data-processing pipelines, and for scripting tasks to enhance efficiency and automation across projects. With around 1,400 specialists, we ensure secure, efficient and inclusive digital infrastructure and services that enable Munich to thrive as a smart city.
